I can’t thank god enough for the industrial fans because The Mouldy Lovers sure do know how to put on one helluva great, albeit sweaty, show. - Society Of Sound

"Yonder Ruckus Album Review"

There’s no denying the entertainment factor, and musically, this album is a feast of delights. - The Music

"The Mouldy Lovers Single Launch (Live Review #2)"

In a world where it’s so easy to live completely self-contained lives and to consume your music in a personalised niche, dancing to Mouldy Lovers with a few hundred others is a celebration of community and the Mouldies are the ligaments that hold together all these disparate parts. - Stairs 2 Nowhere

Bio

Hailing from Brisbane, Australia  The Mouldy Lovers are a 7-piece concoction of ska, punk, dub and various other worldly sounds. After spending most of the past four years gigging non-stop at venues and festivals across Australia, the band have carefully crafted a unique and raucous live performance style which gets even the stiffest legs moving. This formula has been tried and tested at numerous festivals including Island Vibe, Darwin Festival, Wallaby Creek Music Festival, Snowy Mountain Of Music Festival, Brisbane Festival and more.

In 2014 The Mouldy Lovers released their double a-side single ‘Six Foot Fences / Ship Of Fools’. The single was premiered on Triple J’s Roots’n’All, and has since received significant radio play on community radio stations throughout Australia, remaining in the 4ZZZ and AMRAP charts for several weeks. In early 2015 the band will be following up on this single with their sophomore album ‘Hemlock’, which they recorded with local producer Paulie Bromley (The Beautiful Girls) using funds raised through a successful Pozible campaign.
