Movement

Movement is a rock trio from Sydney with an original guitar-driven sound and powerful lyrics. It all started with singer/guitarist David Haack and drummer Dane Connor playing Black Sabbath, Smashing Pumpkins, and Silverchair covers, when they decided a solid bass player was needed to complete the sound and to begin working on original songs.

In late 2003/early 2004, the final piece of the puzzle was put into place. Aiden Synnott was introduced to the band as the bassist that David and Dane had been looking for. Since Aiden’s amalgamation, Movement have written dozens of songs together, mixing in many styles and different influences, such as Silverchair, Manic Street Preachers and Muse.

Movement’s members are 15, 16 and 17 years of age (Dane, Aiden, and David respectively) and currently have twelve original songs, three of which appear on the Movement E.P. These songs show the dynamic variety in their music and the talent of all three members.

In recent months, Movement has taken huge steps forward with their music and have established a strong and original style. David’s enchanting voice blends seamlessly with the powerful guitar, driving bass-lines and tasteful drumlines creating a superb mix of rock, indie and alternative, which makes Movement a band that should definitely be watched out for.
