"Unsigned and Unholy: Moving Structures, Jeff Kalmbach, Wolfheart"

Moving Structures come across like a post-rock version of Scale the Summit and I’m digging the hell out of them. If East of the Wall decided to start a record label and then they signed these guys I’d be not at all shocked. - www.metalsucks.net

Bio

Moving Structures is an Instrumental, Post-Rock band from Los Angeles, CA.

Stemming from the minds of: James Moore (Guitar), Mitch Wayte (Guitar), and Thinner | Colder (Drums), the band formed in late 2010. The trio worked tirelessly on creating a distinct sound, that matched their unique vision. One that would open the listeners mind. Hoping to expand the level of listening to music beyond words. With each new song, the band became more alert of what they were creating...

By May of 2012, the band decided to add Kevin Lewis (Factory81, Liftpoint) to the fold. With a more percussive style of bass playing, this helped the band branch out and take their writing even further into the minds of the listener.

Now with a solidified line-up, the band officially decided on the name "Moving Structures". A name quite fitting to the ever changing and evolving song structuring they were writing. Often being included in the "progressive-rock", "post-metal" and "post-rock" categories, these 4 musicians set no boundaries to what the music should and should not become. The band draws from influences such as: Isis, Russian Circles, TOOL, Pink Floyd, etc.

In 2013, Moving Structures released 2 songs from their forthcoming debut album "A.Wake", to give their fans a glimpse of what's to come in the Summer of 2014. With an overwhelming response to this pre-release, the band decided it was time to take their vision to the live format. To some, Moving Structures is more of an experience. Creating an atmosphere with lighting, seemed the most effective way to tell the story.

Being independent, the band have relied solely on their own artistic strength to push the band to new levels.
