"Mozely Rose"

Mozely Rose: "Exactly What We Were Looking For".

In the form of Mozely Rose, Alan Crist, Matt Nicholls, Neal Townsend and Seth Penick are drawing big crowds in markets covering the United States. From Richmond Virginia, Mozely Rose has imbedded their smoky rock flavor in the hearts of music lovers for over six years. They consistently impress talent buyers, radio stations and movie producers with their unique and creative southern outlaw rock. Andre "The Hawk" Dawson, Vice President for Acclaim Records, Inc. says “Mozely Rose re-institutes all of the basics but puts a modern edge on their sound.” This is a modest statement for an act that was qualified in two categories at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. In fact, Mozely Rose was submitted for consideration and their project was accepted by the committee in the categories of "Best Rock Album" and "Best New Artist".

People who are looking for a good ole rock band that has stage presence, charisma, controllable talent and creative original music are discovering that Mozely Rose is a band that will go far beyond any expectations you might have. Joseph Danna, formerly of Radio City Music Hall and now President of Acclaim Records exclaims: “they put 100% into every live performance…as they give their audience their money’s worth.”

To fuel this bonfire, Florida-based Acclaim Records is backing their national tour with a potent radio and online campaign. Mozely Rose effectively targets high-exposure outlets such as Jambase.com and local radio stations to push full-scale marketing and publicity in key metropolitan and college regions from coast to coast. They currently have airplay in over 28 states, and Canada, creating a loyal fan base by the hundreds That is why they have the tendency to draw 100 or more people into a venue, their first time in. Additionally, Mozely Rose has joined an internationally recognized booking agency, Mountain High Music, to ensure the highest level of organization, execution, and efficiency in all of their endeavors. As a well oiled team, Mozely Rose, Acclaim Records and Mountain High Music incorporate professionalism, artistry and individualism into each of their projects, whether they are promoting an album, merchandise or a tour.

Currently, Mozely Rose is undergoing a special project with Landers Productions to write two songs for the upcoming feature film "Circus Island II”. The band will also be featured in the production as well as placing two tracks on the soundtrack. This level of exposure is unparallel - reaching millions of people across the country and abroad. There is no doubt that Mozely Rose is in the fast lane to becoming a nationally embraced superpower. With their album “Low Down and Dirty” in hand, they have nothing holding them back as they continue to fill venues throughout the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest. "Mozely Rose Storms Colorado"

East Coast Southern Boys Mozely Rose Storms Colorado

Acclaim Records, Inc. made known today that the popular funk-driven southern rock band, Mozely Rose, will be venturing into new heights as they will be touring into cities in Colorado such as Durango, Salida, Denver, and Snowmass Village, just to name a few. The funky rock band has been concentrating on the east coast and their home state of Virginia, playing college towns and venues, and is looking to spread their sound across new parts of the country.

“The band has been recognized on a national level because of touring and radio play, but a major contribution to their recognition is due to their qualification for Grammy nomination at the end of last year,” argues John Franssen, tour manager for Mozely Rose. “Now, Colorado will be able to experience Mozely Rose first hand through a live show, not just by radio alone. The guitars behind their heads and backs are impressive as is their signature ‘drum switch-out,’ but what proves them to be performers is they simply sound great live…they hit every note!”

Mozely Rose has been deemed ‘intergenerational’ because of their uncanny ability to turn on audiences of all ages even though they have really concentrated on the college crowds. “I’ve got to admit, I love seeing the crowd full of people our age, but it’s very flattering to see adults our parents age jamming out in the crowd. I guess we have a nostalgic connection with the slightly older crowd,” notes Alan Crist, guitarist and vocalist for Mozely Rose.

Acclaim Records is very excited to start off Mozely Rose’s spring campaign in Colorado. Further dates are confirmed for the remainder of the spring season in the Outer Banks and college towns up and down the east coast, such as Athens, Ga. and Blacksburg, Va. “It is only a matter of time until their album, Low Down and Dirty, is a household name,” Joe Danna, President of Acclaim Records, Inc. mentions.
Acclaim Records is distributed nationally through Oregon-based Burnside Distribution. Acclaim Records in conjunction with its association with Americana Records is aggressively pursuing radio for Mozely Rose at the AAA Rock radio, Americana and College radio formats in support of touring and retail nationally.

“Mozely Rose re-institutes all of the basics, but puts a modern edge on their sound.”

MOZELY ROSE
While there still seems to be a demand for sharp-cutting guitar riffs, harmonic vocals, and solid drum beats, it’s not always easy to hear and see the music with all the fog and lights that come with a band; Mozely Rose satisfies that demand.

From Richmond, Virginia, Mozely Rose has been rockin’ large, eclectic audiences for more than six years. The band’s music is a product of its blues, country, funk, and especially rock-and-roll influences that each member of the band has brought to the table. Seth Penick drives the band’s rhythm with a funky-rock groove that could make John Bonham drop a beer; Neal Townsend adds funky, slap bass and orchestrates it with his powerful, harmonic rhythms that would make Victor Wooten jealous; Alan Crist keeps busy on the guitar cranking out vigorous, bluesy riffs that would make Allen Collins jump higher than the ‘Freebird Jump;’ Matt Nicholls adds to the band soulful lyrics and a stellar guitar sound that reincarnates Stevie Ray Vaughn, God rest his soul.

This is a group of guys that can satisfy any taste of music through its southern, “Outlaw Rock” style “Mozely Rose did what few others could do on that Friday night. Heads went back, glasses went up, and beer went down in record times. I saw a lot of empty glasses lining the ground around that dance floor. Mozely Rose made them chose between their beer and the music, and as all musicians can tell you, that’s a battle that [a] band often loses.”
-Drew Kennedy, musician, 2002
Simply put, Mozely Rose is Outlaw Rock. The band somehow pulls the audience through a time warp back to when rock-and-roll ruled, music was raw, and it was still cool for guys to have long hair. More importantly, Mozely Rose takes them back to when the lights and the smoke didn’t get in the way of the music’s impact. So take the pop CD out of your player, grab a beer, and throw in a Mozely Rose tune.
