MYSPACE:
http://www.myspace.com/mrarsenmusic

- Began doing live shows in 2005

- Top ten spots on Myspace music charts for Michigan a number of times (more than 100 days and counting)

- Performed in many showcases and gigs around Detroit and the Lansing area

- Performed at both MSU and UofM campuses

Spent four years learning how to make music and work my way around a studio before I started to seriously perform.

Whats sets mr arSen apart: Nobody really looks like me. My music while sounds similar to other great acts will be used to draw you in initially, but is unique in its own right and damn fun to listen to I think. Features motown like samples, hard bass lines, live drums, and layered percussion.

The story is simple. Grew up in Oak Park/Southfield Michigan. Hated the hip hop I was hearing so I ventured into the underground for different music and decided to write my own. Self taught producer, engineer, musician (key board, guitar).

True Influences: World events, people I meet, mass media and culture.

Music Influences: Queen, The Doors, Beatles, Hendrix, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye (slightly), MF DOOM.

"The music is emotionally in a lot of places for the reason I like to touch on a lot of things. I'm not concerned if one person can relate to all my music because not just one person is listening to it. If I like an idea I run with it whether it be the slave trade of Mexican farm hands in California's strawberry fields or Gay Marriage. The range is limitless as it ought to be." - mr arSen
