MrBLACK ...The Alternative ROCK/RAP PHENOM!
No matter how much resistance it may have to fight through, in the end it will always prevail. The evolution of the art of hip-hop has finally arrived amidst a boringly predictable rap landscape. Hip-hop is not dead and this is apparent with the emergence of several new artists that have allowed their rap skills to develop outside the box. The genre owes to these new creative talents like Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamaar, Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco. You have found another one of these special artists today.

Straight out of Decatur on the Eastside of Atlanta, Ga... comes MrBLACK!
With a unique genre-bending style MrBLACK has found a balanced fusion of rock and rap. With this fresh new style, MrBLACK is bringing in the next phase of rap to a new generation desperately needing something new and original. All live instrumentation, all original songs and creative features has put MrBLACK's HOOD ROCK project into a lane of its own. Whether you just dabble in rock or you rock out with the best of them, you won't be able to deny the creative talent, dynamic guitar riffs and razor sharp lyrical talents MrBLACK has to offer.

MrBLACK grew up in the early ATL hip hop scene idolizing rap greats Outkast, Goodie Mob, and T.I...He also had an ear for other regions rappers like Twista, Jay-Z, Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes ,Mos Def, Snoop Dogg and Talib Kweli.....However what fueled this HOOD ROCK project was his affinity for alternative rock greats such as Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bush, Linkin Park, Green Day, PO.D., Sublime, Weezer, Metallica, 311, Nine Inch Nails & STP.

Now looking to forge a bridge between the two genres MrBLACK feels like his music gives a voice to all the people in the middle refusing to be stereotyped, type casted or labeled due to their race, lifestyle or environment. "You shouldn't have to give up any integrity or street cred to relate to something different from what you're accustomed to. Too many people are scared to break out of the mold. IĆ¢€™m trying to make the mold non-existent so we can all party together."
