In 2001 and 2005, Márcio de Camillo was included into the project Rumos Musicais held by Instituto Itaú Cultural (Itáu Bank), to represent the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. - 2001 and 2005

In 2003, Márcio was one of the 25 South American artists selected to participate in Development - workshop organized by Unesco, which took place in Salvador/BA.
From this event, the invitation extended to Womex (The Word Music Expo) in Sevilha/Spain.

Recently Marcio De Camillo did the project “Gerações“ (2006), a CD sponsored by Petrobrás, this project was created and directed by Márcio de Camillo, which brought more than 60 artists from 3 generations together such as singers, musicians and composers. - 2006


Discography

In 1996, Márcio released his first CD, named “Olhos d’água”, which presented a new fusion of typical Brazilian rhythms.

In 2001 he released the CD “Telepaticamente”,with a modern sound as the same time as lyric, mixing technological equipments as samplers and guitars with mandolins and string quartet.

n 2005 he launched his third CD and his first DVD (Marcio De Camillo ao vivo) recorded totally in acoustic format.

In May of 2007, Márcio De Camillo launched his 4th CD of his career, “Me deixar levar” with songs composed by himself and partnerships with another sul-mato-grossenses composers.

Bio

Singer, composer and musician, he grew up in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, the music scene where he composes the initial base of his music style. He moved to São Paulo in 1988, where he began to work with many musician Brazilian artists.
In 2001, was included into the project Rumos Musicais held by Instituto Itaú Cultural (Itáu Bank), to represent the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. In 2003, Márcio was one of the 25 South American artists selected to participate in Development - workshop organized by Unesco, which took place in Salvador/BA.
From this event, the invitation extended to Womex.
Returning to Brazil, feeling more Brazilian than ever, created the AMP – Associação de Músicos do Pantanal (Musician Association from Pantanal) (www.musicosdopantanal.com.br), in order to spread the sul-mato-grossense musical production into the social-cultural projects. In 2005 he launched his third CD and his first DVD live recorded totally in acoustic format. This work has already spread nationally by TV Senado, in May of 2007, and also by Canal Brasil in the Faixa Musical program.
In May of 2007, Márcio De Camillo launched his 4th CD of his career, “Me deixar levar”.
Viewing a performance voice and impeccable musical maturity coming from his 12-year of career, for the first time recording with “caipira viola“, in addition to his steel viola and the harmonica, reaffirming his potential as instrumentalist.
