As a member of 3 6 Mafia, Mr. Del was enjoying the success of his first hit single (over 500,000 copies sold). Yet, on the verge of promotions, his life took a drastic turn. During Easter 2000, he discovered that God had a higher calling on his life and a greater purpose for his music. Three days after accepting Christ, Mr. Del completed Enter the Light, his first Holy Hip Hop release.
Since then, He has become founder and Senior Pastor of The City of Refuge Church and heads up a team of rappers known as the Holy South Soilders created to reach out to the lost.
Mr. Del and the Holy South Soilders are Hip Hop Generations most innovative rappers, offering an alternative to airways full of degrading lyrics. What makes this music so addictive is a clear dedication to fun, Hip Hop and God.
Delivering the uncut Word out of their own life experiences, they motivate youth to believe in hope, love and a reason for living.
