Bio

Edward O. Mason aka ED-O is a singer/songwriter; composer; producer and sound engineer, born in Harlem, NYC, USA. A singer from childhood, ED-O sang in various glee clubs, choirs and R&B singing groups from the 60's through the 90's.

Adding writing, producing and publishng credits to his name, ED-O has raised his career "bar," and has chosen a host of talented musicians to take this ride with him. They include a former member of the 70's funk band, "Cameo", and have each played with an endless list of jazz, pop, R&B and soul superstars... too many to mention here.

Many of ED-O's early influences include Nat "King" Cole, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington, Quincy Jones, and he was equally impressed with Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Berry Gordy, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, and the list goes on.

ED-O has used these influences in his original writings, while he attempts to find his own 'unique' voice among these great superstars. You, the fan, will ultimately decide if he has 'that' voice, and something to say with it.
