3 / How did you choose your name? Mr GLAMARUS AND WHY?
Ben I did not choose my name. My name was given to me for my voice and women because women like me a lot (smile)
4 / SONGS FROM WHEN YOU?
I sing since I was young but in a professional since 1998
5 / HOW YOU DEFINE YOUR STYLE MUSICAL?
My musical style is different and relaxing for the soul. So he can dance and move like a storm.
6 / HOW WAS YOUR FIRST SESSION STUDIO? What did you feel?
My first studio session was very exciting. The feeling is indescribable, I know I liked it.
7 / Which topics do you prefer SING?
Ben I do not choose themes, I sing what I feel about what is going on around me and / or the world
8 / Tell us about YOUR BIG TUNE "SAVE THE CHILDREN." Why and how did you write?
First I am a father of three children whom I love. This song is based on what I saw in my country and the world in general, all these people that hurt children.
I had to write something about that. I used music as a medium to play my role and show my disapproval.
9 / PIECES WITH YOU HAVE ANY NAPTALI. IS NAPTALI?
Naptali is a very good friend, a brother. I like his thinking and his musical style. We are quite similar musically, how to see music. He wanted that one is working on various projects since the time had come.
10 / What do you think ARTISTS REGGAE / DANCE HALL-EUROPEAN and Jamaica?
I think Jamaicans are very good things in the content of their lyrics. They have changed for the better, more positive in the negative.
I think the Europeans do as well. reggae music united everyone you know.
11 / THERE ARE SOME ARTISTS that inspire you most?
Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Sanchez, Singing Melody, Wayne Wonder to name a few.
12 / Do you think CA BE THE SAME REALITY OF LIFE BETWEEN EUROPE AND THE JAMAICA? EVEN THE LYRICS?
I believe there are some similarities but there is a big difference to the lifestyle and lyrics
13 / OFTEN SPOKEN OF AFRICA, BACK TO AFRICA IN THE LYRICS. What do you think? THIS IS A MODE?
Singing about the African earth mother and want to return should not be taken as a trend. For my part I do not think this is a mode or simple statements.
14 / What are your plans? BE AN ALBUM IN PREPARATION?
My current project is an album that is called Mr GLAMARUS which will be available soon

Bio

Singer and Songwriter, Edward Higgins aka Mr. Glamarus, was born in Greenwich Farm of Kingston, Jamaica around the pulsating beat of reggae and dancehall music Mr. Glamarus, from an early age, discovered his love for music and has since then set his eyes on musical stardom. Blessed with an angelic voice and a star appeal, Mr. Glamarus performed with his school and church choirs and made his debut singing on the sound systems in his community. During his teenage years he spent time in the prominent studios of Kingston such as Anchor, Penthouse, Black Scorpio etc. and has recorded extensively on these labels.

With relative success, his rendition of Usher’s Nice and Slow sold well in some European territories. Mr. Glamarus began to record other tracks including his collaborations with DJ Scorpion, African Princess and Suffering and his solo single Alison (Builders Label) created a buzz and teaming with Richie Wonder was getting him into the musical mainstream. To his credit, Mr. Glamarus has performed on Sting, Teen Splash, Rebel Salute, Heineken Startime, etc. Mr. Glamarus released an EP on Strong and Free Canadian Label titled Where Would I Go which is getting favorable play in Jamaica and overseas. And to his credit also has released two videos Shoulda Stay and A Girl Like You which got favorable rotation on the national and cable television stations in Jamaica.

Mr. Glamarus released his debut album, Feel It on the Black Kurrant Production Label in 2007. The title track Feel It, on the Crazy Night Rhythm from the SWS Label, has a huge buzz in Europe and the United States, and is destined to be a chart topper. The song One Day, on the Majestic Rhythm from the Pleasure Beat Label is being played in dances right now in heavy rotation. The album features a compilation of 18 songs, including Caan Tek Di Vibes on Black Kurrant Label which was produced by Mr. Glamarus himself. The album is about relationships and reality that give rise to Mr. Glamarus’ ability to cover a wide genre including culture, dancehall and lover’s rock. Now currently working on his second album, Mr. Glamarus has new songs including Not Like That on the Blem Up Riddim (Wize Men Productions), Mama Don’t You Weep, Cool It Down, a combination with Mr. G, and Cyah Hold We Down on the Euro Swagga Riddim by SWS.
