Mr. Jimmy

Mr. Jimmy

BandRockAdult Contemporary

Mr Jimmy is classic/original band, specializing in strong vocals. We work hard at entertaining our fans. Vocals, talent and a sense of humor give us an edge over our competition. Goofy, talented, fun sort of like The Everly Brothers meet Otis Redding and decide to take Eddie Van Halen for a ride.

Biography

Mr Jimmy was a good friend of ours, he tought us to dance like crickets, sing like treetoads and rock like the pioneers. One day, a piano fell on his head, and we were left to sing the blues. Really, we've played a lot, heard a lot, and learned a lot in our time on this planet. We were slackers on the last planet. Jim has a long past as organ-master, choir director, and general musical smart-guy. Eric has played in an infinity of coffee-houses, while Craig has beat his head to pulp in 10 or more original-music acts. Ask about the one that was bass and guitar, no drums.
Our story is no matter how hard we try, we're like brokeback, we just can't quit rock-and-roll.

Lyrics

Elephant

Written By: Craig Green

Elephant elephant, where you gonna run to?
Where you gonna go when it all falls through?
Elephant elephant who you gonna turn turn to
where you gonna go where they can't find you?

In the sun and the savanna we used to live like rulers
walking in the glare of the afternoon sun
Living in the bushes, wading in the water
feeling all the power of a 40 ton train

CH:
All through the day,
They hunt me down with aeroplanes
All through the night
They won't get me any peace
BR:
And when I die, my blood spills, on the ground
the Elephant he screams, and makes no sound
the hungry tear him up, rip him apart.

V2:
they hunt me with a pistol, use a submachine gun
leave my body lying in the African sun
hiding in the bushes, lurking in the shadows,
I learn to hate the man cause the man hate me.

In the end of my day, I walk all alone
I wander through the land we used to call home
the sounds I make fall silent in the air
I cry to the night but there's no body there

How Do You Love Someone

Written By: Eric Hols

I look in the mirror
And stare into lonely eyes

Sleep is near
And welcome oblivion

Taking my soul down
Into a darker place

Twisted emotions
Running on empty faith

CHORUS:
How do you love someone who doesn't want to be loved?
How do you go somewhere if they don't want to be there?
An endless desert would do, if I could walk it with you
A world of madness and pain, driving me slowly insane

I hear your voice I see your face

Over and over and over and over again
Head on my pillow moonlight brushes your hair
Your body soft and warm Holding me close at night

CHORUS

I feel the sun rise I hear my heart beat
I'm alive So alive
The air is sweet and clean
Music fills my ears

I have life, I have love

New Speakers

Written By: Mr. Jimmy

Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
Tank of gas and my best rock t-shirt, baby
I'm ready to Roll
Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
New woofers, hot tweeters, baby
I'm ready to Roll

(Leaves fall down, and we all fall down
drive around, all around town)
My Boss Man, he's driving me crazy
riding my back all night and day
all begins at 8 in the morning
late at night, he's at it again

Come on baby, don't be slow
got my motor running and I'm ready to roll
Come on baby, don't be shy
you're my girl, and I'm your guy

Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
Tank of gas and my best rock t-shirt, baby
I'm ready to Roll
Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
New woofers, hot tweeters, baby
I'm ready to Roll

(Leaves fall down, and we all fall down
drive around, all around town)
The place I live, is way up the valley,
way up there where nobody goes
Late at night, someone got lucky
all I know, is it ain't me.

Come on baby, don't be slow
got my motor running and I'm ready to roll
Come on baby, don't be shy
you're my girl, and I'm your guy

Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
Tank of gas and my best rock t-shirt, baby
I'm ready to Roll
Ten Dollars and a new set of speakers, baby,
I'm ready to Roll
New woofers, hot tweeters, baby
I'm ready to Roll

That's Why I'm Here

Written By: Craig Green/Jim Moon

Don't need no big old cars
no fancy house, no gold or cigars
i'm a guy who's pleasure's are simple
I need to play, I need to see people
so what I'm trying to say is,
I like to hang around and play in the bars

That's why I'm here
That's why I'm here.

Every day and every night follows
we build things up as we make our way
conflict , troubles and hassles
follow on like hallways and doors
one thing we all know
we drop it all
when we walk through the door

That's why I'm here
That's why I'm here.

I been a working man,
a painter, a drifter
theres' nothing I ain't been called
I tried the simple life,
straight life and crooked
but every time, It ends with guitar
It's got rhythm, beat and seduction
my mood in motion, is right on time

I got bills to pay
kids to feed
I got bills to pay
kids to feed

That's why I'm here
That's why I'm here.
That's why I'm here
That's why I'm here.
