Mr Lexx is about to break into a new area code on the back of his song, Hold the Line.
The single that features American singer Santigold and was produced by Major Lazer is to be aired on Beverly Hills 90210: The Next Generation, a reincarnation of the original series that ran from 1990 to 2000 and was produced by late Hollywood mogul Aaron Spelling.
The show follows the lives of a group of teenagers living in the upscale, star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California. The '90210' in the title refers to the city's ZIP code. The Next Generation airs on the relatively new CW network, the same network that airs the popular Smallville series.
The single was selected by a music supervisor on the production team for the current series to be included on the soundtrack for Season 2 of 90210 and the process is being monitored by Greensleeves Publishing.
However, there is no word yet on the air date of the episode in which the song will be used.
Non-traditional tune
The accompanying video to the song, that has been described by industry insiders as a non-traditional dancehall tune, was nominated in the 'Breakthrough Video' category of the MTV Video Music Awards that were aired on September 13 this year.
Meanwhile Mr Lexx, who has been busy touring, recently concluded a tour with Santigold, who has recorded with such artistes as Jay-Z, Pharrell and Kanye West.

Dancehall artiste Mr Lexx, already facing the possibility of a secondary career as a model, is spreading his wings even further as he appears in small roles in two movies due out this summer.
The entertainer, born Christopher Palmer and who grew up in east Kingston, tells THE STAR that he will be seen in films called Wha Do Dem and Out The Gate.
Wha Do Dem is a movie about "this dude who comes to Jamaica on a cruise but somehow lost his documents, so he starts a journey from Ocho Rios to the US Embassy in Kingston. On his way he meets different people and I am one of them," Mr. Lexx says. "My role is he comes to me asking directions and I give him a lift, so I get a decent five minutes."
The film is written and directed by Ben Chace and stars Sean Bones as the lead character, Max. Max lives in Brooklyn. He enjoys playing soccer, skateboarding, and drinking with his friends at local bars. He and his girlfriend, Willow, played by singer Norah Jones, win a free cruise to Jamaica but two days before the trip she dumps him cold. Max winds up alone on the high seas, navigating the crowds of gray-haired cruisers.
The film also features Carl Bradshaw who plays the role of a mystic man.
Out The Gate stars Paul Campbell, who many will remember as the lead character in The Lunatic and Third World Cop. In this action-packed movie which is about the rise of a young entertainer played by Everton 'E Dee' Dennis, a Jamaican entertainer based in California, Campbell plays a 'very bad man'.
Oliver Samuels plays a lead role in the movie that also features up and coming talent Shelli Boone. Mr. Lexx plays, what he describes as a 'fun role'. "I play a mad friend of one of the lead characters," he said.
The two roles may have piqued Mr Lexx's interest in acting who says he is not averse to considering future roles in film.
"It's been something I play around with in my mind," he said of the possibility of future ventures into acting. "Should an opportunity present itself I will definitely pursue it, but for now my main focus is on music."

Rising like the proverbial phoenix, reggae-dancehall entertainer Mr Lexx is getting his life back on track both in music and in other forms of entertainment one would not readily associate him with.
The entertainer tells THE STAR he began shooting the video for his latest song My Private Dancer in New York yesterday. The shoot was to take place at the Retro Lounge on Brooklyn Avenue in Freeport New York. The entertainer who hails from eastern Kingston but currently resides in the Big Apple, says My Private Dancer is a song that is about getting lap dances at the club and at home. The song was produced by Kevin Lloyd Music/Kheilstone and is being distributed by Radio Ready Entertainment. The video is also being produced by Kevin Lloyd Music.
Mr Lexx says the song will be available on iTunes in the coming days.
Meanwhile, as the singer continues to make a comeback, after recently being exonerated of allegations of rape, he tells THE STAR that destiny seems to be guiding him into the world of fashion. "I am wondering if I am to be Jamaica's next top model, " he said laughing.
Mr Lexx reveals that he walked as a model at Caribbean Fashion Rock in Manhattan last month wearing pieces from a clothing line called RepJamaica. During the event, Kingsley Cooper from Pulse received a Legend award for his contribution to the development of Caribbean fashion. He revealed he was down to be at another fashion event that he described as Brooklyn's biggest fashion expo, last night (Sunday) in Manhattan.
He says RepJamaica and Yard Rock are among several clothing lines that have expressed an interest in him wearing their clothing.
"I have more designers wanting me to wear their clothes than producers who want me to voice for them," he said, clearly pleased at the positive turn his life and career have taken.

Not much has been heard from Mr Lexx recently.
However, the artiste might be back in the limelight after recently releasing a new single, Let It Pop featuring Esco da shocker.
The song, according to a release from Mr Lexx's publicist, gives listeners "a splash of pop spiked with a heavy hand of reggae, fusing into the perfect crossover record".
Let it Pop is an attempt to appeal to women and what Mr Lexx feels is the core of his fan base.
Mr Lexx came to prominence as Lexxus and enjoyed hits with songs like Good Hole, Bounce ah gyal, Full Hundred, Taxi Fare, to name a few.
While his single Dem a Pree climbs the charts, the artiste is working on a collaboration with one of the members from the G-Unit camp.
That single is set for release next month.
Born and raised in the Mountain View area of Kingston, Christopher Palmer (Mr Lexx's name) has been nominated for an MTV Music Video Award and in June last year he teamed up with Santigold to create Hold the Line, which was featured as a soundtrack on FIFA 10.

Mr. Lexx also distinguished himself as one of the finest dancers in Jamaica when he joined the popular dance troupe Squad One but for the past seven years he has pursued an extremely promising career as a deejay whose electrifying stage performances are enhanced by his vast experience in dance and theater.

“I’m not a singer, I’m not a deejay, I’m an ENTERTAINER”, asserts Mr. Lexx, the resonant, rolling tongued dancehall sensation formerly known as Lexxus who is on a mission to take Jamaican music to the heights of international popularity. “This is Reggae we’re talking about here and the music is not as big as it’s supposed to be. Can you think of a Reggae artist they would put in Madison Square Garden or Yankee Stadium? I wanna be the one they put there and I know I’ve achieved what I want when I’m on stage and 200,000 people come to see me!” Born Christopher Palmer and raised in the Mountain View area of Kingston, Mr. Lexx has been performing, as he says “since the day I was born”. Mr. Lexx first displayed his deejaying skills in 1992 at the popular Sunday night dances held in Kingston’s Harbor View area, featuring the Super Dee sound system. Representatives from The New York based label Natural Bridge Records heard Lexx’s impressive lyrical flow and brought him to Kingston’s Mixing Lab recording studios where the 16 year old recorded his first single, “Own A Home”, his tribute to women who aren’t dependent on men for financial support. Subsequent single releases including “Unification” and “Ghetto Man Slam” yielded little fanfare for the aspiring deejay but he perservered and in 1997 his efforts were rewarded with three hit singles, “Runaway Train” (X-Rated label), “Fade Away” (2-Hard Records) and “Boogie Woogie” for producers Steely and Clevie. Mr Lex also received several concert bookings including an invitation to perform in New York City where he decided to live for an entire year. Lexx’s popularity lagged in Jamaica due to the time he spent abroad so he returned home in 1998 and reestablished himself through a series of successful stage shows. The determined entertainer advantageously utilized his acting and dancing capabilities to support his microphone skills at Kingston’s largest annual dancehall concert, Sting in December 1998 and the event marked a turning point in Mr.Lexx’s career: “I wasn’t so hot then, so coming back performing at Sting wasn’t really the glamorous thing it was supposed to be,” confides Mr. Lexx, “but I performed at 3 AM, after a lot of artists got booed (and bottled); I did my thing and it was wicked. It was like they were waiting for me to come on and start the show. No one knew my music because all of it was new but because I projected my songs, danced and used up the stage, I was getting the crowd into my act.” Many of the unknown songs Mr. Lexx performed at Sting became Jamaican radio hits while his performance in August 1999 during Montego Bay’s Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night has amplified the Mr. Lexx buzz to a near deafening decibel! Attired in an outrageous leather outfit, Mr. Lexx energetically delivered a hit filled set which included his first ..1 single “Get Wid It”, produced by King Jammy$, “Yu Nah”, another ..1 and his current smash “Cook” which humorously urges women to brush up on their culinary skills to keep their men happy; both tracks were produced by Steely and Clevie. Other Mr. Lexx tunes dominating radio air play in Jamaica (and in Caribbean communities throughout the United States and England) include “Cellie”, “Real Age” and the imaginative “Divine Reasoning” (King Jammy$), Lexx’s conversation with The Creator, illustrating his devout belief in The Almighty: “Every night mi go to mi bed mi haffe pray, thank Father God for letting mi see another day....gimme the health, gimme the strength to let mi sing ..
