Maury met Ava in 1999 musically when Ava was searching for a keyboardist. A mutual acquaintance recommended Freeze Pop for the event, thus the orgin of this dynamic was born. Performing to a standing ovation, people were amazed at the chemistry of the perfomance with no rehearsal. Married December 30, 1999, they released their first cassette, followed by their 1st CD- Psalms Of Millenium, under their newly formed label, Spread The WORD Productions. Realizing their music was too deep for the Gospel/Christian Box, And lyrics were too deep for the secular set, they found themselves in between. Reflecting on a past mutual influence, Earth, Wind and Fire, who were very successful in combining their religious beliefs, with their various styles of music to the general public commercialized. This inspired Mr. & Mrs. Nichols to step out of the box with the music from the depths of their soul, thus making the classification of Mr. & Mrs. Nichols CD as "PURE SOUL". The CD "1" is reflective of the fact Mr. & Mrs. Nichols are a dynamic duo performing & recording as "1". Perfomed in Newburgh, NY, Norwalk, Conneticut, Kilgore, & Henderson TX, Mississippi, Oklahoma. Performed on Psalms Of Millenium TV BET local Oklahoma. Women Of Valor TV KPAX-44 (Oklahoma) GTV Tulsa Cable. One unique aspect of this group is the ability to be self contained in recording, and performing.
