Bio

Ronald Gerald, Jr. (better known as Ron Gerald) was born on August 7th, 1986 to Ronald and Deborah Gerald. Finding himself infatuated with music since he was old enough to talk, Ron landed talent shows performing covers of songs by artists such as Dru Hill, James Brown, 112 and Luther Vandross, to name a few, all throughout Long Island and New York City. Writing since the seventh grade and performing his own material since the ninth, Ron would take his talents to Hampton University where he would later graduate with an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Ron began writing and producing music for several local artists while in college and also managed to write a jingle for Bovanti Cosmetics (based out of Atlanta, GA). After graduating from college, he landed a job working within corporate finance and project management at Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ. Despite the fact that he resided in New York and had to endure a lengthy commute to and from work, he still managed to find time to pursue his dreams in music. He continued to hone his songwriting and production skills by producing music for local artists and by collaborating with several producers, songwriters and singers within the tri-state area.

Ron takes his craft very seriously and studies the music of all the great legends that came before him. As a songwriter first and foremost, his mission is to craft timeless melodies that can move popular culture. His goal is to use great melodic and harmonic structures to help take the listener on an emotional ride as they listen to his music. From a lyrical standpoint, he strives to develop interesting concepts along with clever lyrics that tell a story and are truly relatable.

Ron’s unwavering self-belief, laser beam focus and constant desire to improve his skills in order to become a legend may lead one to believe that he is truly after longevity and is not interested in following behind current trends just to be successful for a short period of time. With timeless principles as his foundation it would be interesting to see the impact he may have on popular music in the years to come.
