"Sweet Swedish Vibes"

There is definitely an essence of a winter wonderland in this gorgeous track from Sydney duo, Mrs Bishop.
You can tell instantly these guys have spent some time in Sweden, ‘Where the River Flows’ is eloquently natural and simplistic (in a good way), but driven by a solid beat and delicate percussion. Its the perfect soundtrack to this coming winter. - Our New Empire

"Introducing Mrs Bishop"

There's something about Scandinavian countries which really brings out mystique and joy in the way they can play music. In the same vein as Icelandic post-rock legends, Sigur Ros, out of Sydney (and via Sweden), we present to you, the enigmatic band of brothers 'Mrs Bishop'.

Having successfully grown a steady international fan base due to their time growing up in Sweden and England, the lads are set to take the stage for their first Sydney gig at the Sosueme 4th Birthday – 28th May @ Oxford Art Factory, Sydney.

Combining elements of Swedish folk music, with a modern indie feel, Mrs Bishop have created an elegant sound with mesmerising peaks and troughs. Simple yet sophisticated, these classically trained brothers style is sure to begin turning some serious heads sooner rather than later. - Stoney Roads

"Mrs Bishop - Where the River Flows"

Nordic niceties from this Sydney brother duo. Their bio says they were born in Sweden, raised at a boarding school in the UK and are ‘classically trained’. If those English choirboy practices are anything to go by, Mrs Bishop’s harmonic balls haven’t quite dropped yet. Good stuff.

"Where the River Flows"

"I can feel the Nordic vibes on this tune. But it's not all fragile and glacial, because it's got a real thumping heart to it too."

MRS BISHOP

“Born in Sweden. Raised in London. Sang for the Queen on Sundays”

Sydney’s classically trained brothers, Oscar and Hugo Bishop have spent their years frolicking in the snowfields of Sweden and getting up to no good at boarding school in England. When they got bored of singing for the Queen they found their own unique transfixing pop sound, and soon formed Mrs Bishop.

The eccentric front man Oscar sings beautiful, playful and feverish melody’s that are skillfully complimented by Hugo’s poppy electric guitar rhythms and seamless vocal harmonies. All found intertwined within a percussively prominent back beat.

Inspired by the beauty and simplicity of native swedish folk music, Mrs Bishop’s modern indie-pop music is full of mesmerizing moments. Eccentric yet endearing, the Mrs Bishop boys are the lads next door... from the other side of the world.
