Mrs. Wood and the Story of Afterschool Detention came about when my teenage son refused to accept that my songs would only be heard by friends and neighbors. He would come to my classroom afterschool, yes we are both at the same high school: teacher and student and insist that I get serious about recording again, that my songs needed to be heard.
