Bio

Wilmand Lejulus, known to the world, as Mr. Will is a proud son of Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. At only five years old he remembered being sent to his grand parents for the summer, and in about two weeks later he recalled seeing everyone mourning and later was told that his mother had passed away. His father who at the time was living in the U.S had a hard time finding a caretaker for all seven kids, after the tragic death of their mother in 1991 he applied for visa to have them entered into the U.S.

For anybody living in Haiti, coming to America is like a first class ticket to paradise however, for Wilmand that wasn't the case after being here for just about a month in the summer of 1997.

Living with eight other people including one of his uncles in a two bedroom  apartment in Ft. Lauderdale Fl, and so the struggle continues, he realized that he had to quickly find a way to provide for himself. He seen how his father struggled with two jobs in order to support the family here in the U.S, relatives in Haiti, and so he took a part-time job the 2nd day he turned fourteen, there he was able to bring home $50 every week, and began to buy himself clothes for school.

Growing up in Haiti he was deeply influenced by all different types Caribbean music. Born and raised in the church, after moving here in the U.S in his early teens he sang and played the drum for the youth choir and was also exposed to even more secular music during that same period of time, particularly Hip-Hop music.

In 2002 after graduating High School he invested $3000.00 from his $5000.00 Scholarship that was awarded to him into producing and pressing his first album. He was very disappointed by the negative reviews he had gotten from his peers but later managed to recoup half of the investment. His father who had urged him to immediately start college then found out two semesters later that Wilmand had less Interest in School and more Interest into his music, he became frustrated by his new behavior and decided to put him out of the house. In July 2003 he moved Atlanta, GA to further pursue his dream with only $150.00 to his name he slept in his car and hotels bathroom for nearly three months. Fast-forward to 2008, it took him exactly five years to prefect his craft where he is now on top of his game, running his own race in his own lane.

He's best defined as a world artist and often compared to artists such as Wyclef Jean, and Akon however, after listening to his music one can quickly recognize his distinctive raspy, and soulful voice, he's known as a songwriter, guitarist, and best of all a true musician at heart.
