Mr.Wright's music was created using the charismatic musical influences of Jay-z, Eminem, and Kanye West, as well as the theatrical aspects of professional wrestling and television soap operas. Other important influences include System of a Down, Frank Sinatra and Justin Timberlake.
The music consists of orchestral instruments mixed with hip hop drums and bass, and sometimes Mr. Wright pulls a "rabbit out of his hat" by combining childish, homemade instruments with political parody, such as his first single "The New USA", which gained him respect as an artist who's not afraid to take risks and speak his mind, while still making catchy music with a purpose.
Mr.Wright also gained plenty of recognition for his creative "GonGreen" campaign, where he temporarily changed his name to "Mr.Gongreen" to promote recycling and composting in Toronto and the GTA. His hit single "Why a Green Bin?" has aired on community radio stations such as CHRY 105.5FM, the TorontoSun website, and YouTube, as well as being performed in front of over 100 000 children in schools and parks across the GTA, and adults in local bars, pubs and comedy clubs.
In the next year, Mr.Wright has his sights set on taking his act to New York City, where he plans on networking with the biggest labels in the industry to help take his story to the global stage.
