Bio
The Hebrew name “Shira” means song and poem. Little Ms. Shira wrote her first song for the violin and voice at the age of eight “Winter’s On It’s Way”. Comes to Class (Ms.Shira’s debut album) contains songs which draw upon styles from Afro-Caribbean, Funk Rock, R&B Soul to Blues, Reggae, Disco Boogie and Pop. This conceptual album seeks to take the listener on a self-reflective roller coaster ride of love. “I’m don’t lecture in a classroom anymore, I teach on the mic!” says Ms.Shira. “ I am living the dream because I dare to do what I love. Once you discover your purpose in the universe, you must do everything in your power to promote your personal efforts in the war of love and peace. You can get it, because we’re connected. Recording Comes to Class was the greatest learning experience of my life; where it will lead is up to the listener. I write my own program and wish it into existence.” What will go down on your Purrmanent Record?
