Lyrics

Holding Onto Memories

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I know you're through with me, but we're still here waiting.
What it seems to me, we're just holding onto memories.
We lost it long ago,
You wanted someone you could hold.
But as time went by,
You realized we're only

Chorus:
Holding onto these memories
That you have found to be lies.

Verse 2:
Yeah, we were meant to be. It was all downhill from here.
We'd live happily, forgetting problems through the years.
Then a friend came to you,
Now funny thing, cuz she was my friend too!
Then the words she said,
You realized we're only

Chorus

Bridge:
How long does it take to see that the times have changed and we are still meant to be.
Creating memories of a past we lost at such a cost to you and me.
Is there ever a time to reconcile all the problems
I have made? She has made this something worth it
But still we're just left

Chorus

What We'd Be Like

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I never thought that it would come to this.
I've never been the kind to shy away.
But when I look into your eyes, and all I see are just the bluest skies
To help clear away my rainy day.

Pre-Chorus:
I know I should be listening, and let you now how I've been feeling
All the secrets that I've been keeping, I don't know how to say it so I guess I'll sing it.

Verse 2:
I'll let my music do the talking now.
Listen close, it has so much to tell.
With every picture that I see, keeps me thinking of you constantly,
I can't put in words how I feel this way.

Modified Chorus:
I know that there's something wrong here.
And I know that there's something just not right.
If we could only take the time now, and stop and find what we'd like now.

Verse 3:
Tell me now, what do you think of this?
Do you feel the same way that I do?
I think together we could be, the two who've finished chasing all our dreams,
I've got all I need right in front of me.

Pre-Chorus:

ChorusX3:
I know that there's something wrong here.
And I know that there's something just not right.
If we could only take the time to just stop and find what we'd be like.

Night Time Mix

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I sleep alone at night and hear the melodies, so light,
The perfect type of feeling, I can rest at ease.
The feeling grips at me like a thousand words all focusing
On a point in time in which we both felt everything.

Chorus:
I found it very hard to believe,
How all these songs keep on reminding me
Of all the nights I made the sacrifice.
The 'Night Time Mix' was quick to change my life.

Verse 2:
So do you feel like I do? Listen now, do they remind you
Of those nights that we have found to have no end?
No matter how we play them, it's the same rhythm change
When we loved and hated,
But I know we both appreciated the company.

Bridge:
Even though the rhythm changes, the one thing that still remains is
Every time I hear the changes, it'll always bring me back to days when
We would lie in bed, so high, all the ecstasy of the night's gone by,
You looked up at me with a smile and eyes, we felt so alive.

Our Own Star

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
Boy, I don't know, sometimes it feels like I am roaming all alone,
I wonder where the hell I'm going.
If I could take, just a few, just a minute to recall my mistake,
The one I made I thought was great.
So what'd it do? Besides depress and make a mess of what I knew,
I thought I was through.

Chorus:
Is it cold out there? Thinking nothings fair and now you're all alone.
You're not alone.
Is it cold out there? Thinking no one cares about the one you are.
We're all our own star
In a way that's unique. The old, the weak, the poor, and the meek,
We have always had a trait,
We have always possessed, but maybe not in excess,
A trade of our own. A skill through years and years we hone
Which makes us all our own star in a way.

Verse 2:
Thought I was through, but I deserve a second chance, now
How 'bout you?
I'm glad you see it my way too.
If I could find, what it is that would make my presence
Worth your while,
I can't bring the sun but I can surely make you smile,
And if I do, then I can say that I've got it made and lovin' what I do,
And you can, too.

Chorus

Breaking Down

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
We all have episodes when we feel like no one ever will know
The pain and suffering, like a cloud overhead just pouring down the rain.
I know you're looking out, I know you're just trying to give advice
You come at me again and you may find I might not be so nice.

Pre-Chorus:
And I don't need the vain of doing this all over again and again
When I'm down and feeling bad,
I lift my head, hell I'll even consult my Dad.
And I don't need the pain and suffering again.

Chorus:
So if I collide with all the open minds alive
My chances high I will survive the pain
of fortune and fame.
This ain't a game I play along the way
Like a fully stressed Earth just ready to quake
Breaking through my veins, driving me to insane
I'll do anything to keep from breaking down this way.

Verse 2:
So now I play along, you didn't think I'd get back up again.
I'm not as weak as all you thought for I've been tought to stand my ground.
Now I give it back,
I'm getting used to the fact that one person can't change the world.
So I'll take it all with a grain of salt, a default to the uncontrolled.

Pre-Chorus:
And I don't need the vain of doing this all over again and again
When I'm down and feeling bad,
I lift my head, hell I'll even consult my Dad.
And I enjoy the gain of pushing forth my name.

Chorus

Bridge:
I don't want to break down, and I will never let you bring me down,
Never again.
(Ready to break, ready to break, now I'm breaking down this way)

Chorus

Black Lingerie

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I take a look at you and what I like,
So many things that make you beautiful tonight.
I catch a glimpse of you and, if I could.
I'd like to say, you just look so damn good.
Other clothing it doesn't come close,
There's only one thing that I love most.
Now the only thing that's left to see
Is if I'm the lucky one to take you home with me.

Chorus:
Strapped around your back and side,
Come in closer, it's alright.
Take it off, it's in my way,
On the floor, black lingerie.

Breakdown:
Runnin' my hands down that sexy wear.
I keep 'em movin' soft and slow.
Like an eclipse, your lips, the moment we *kiss,*
I know just where this is goin'...Heh heh.

Verse 2:
Look, in my eyes, tell me what you like.
We'll re-arrange the room all through the night.
Sit down, feel me all around, now tell me something hot.
Let me here, *whisper* in my ear,
'Please don't, don't, don't stop.'
Heavy breathing, steady feeling, I can't hold it.
Too much to handle, I'm just so caught up in the moment.
If I could have one wish, yeah, if I could have my way,
I'd take you every night in your black lingerie.

Chorus

Bridge:
*Kiss*
*Whisper* Feel me all around now,
Tell me what you like.

Chorus

On the floor, black lingerie,
Take it off cuz it's in my way.
On the floor, black lingerie,
Just what I love, it's black lingerie.

Take The Time

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Intro:
Please calm down, try to resist. Only good can come of this,
And I'll give you one promise, let me tell you, I insist
That I'll miss you more than I ever have before.

Verse 1:
I thought I'd take the time to take a look and realize,
Appreciate what has made my life in my present state
So valuable, I didn't know, the minute things as I would grow
Would help to mold, to build my frame,
Assert my pride, behold my name!
So as long as I can keep myself alive
I'll keep holding strong.
Why? What's wrong with me? I only want to see
What is in this world, what can it offer me now.

Chorus:
And so I took the time to look and find out what has brought this on,
I've waited so long
And so I took the time to look and find out what has brought this on,
I've waited for so long.

Verse 2:
My lips and toungue are bitten numb
From what was left unsaid before.
But I'm the one, the day has come, I'm reaching further.
So much more to see, and I believe that I was given a voice to sing
In the land of song where I'll be king!
I'm proud to be what you've made of me now.
Know that I must go, goodbye.
I will never leave behind, a Mother's love is hard to find.
(When I go)
I clench my hand to make a fist and with the other hand I grab my wrist
To show you just how much I'll miss you when I'm gone,
It won't be very long.

Chorus

Good By Now

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I thought I'd be good by now, all the time that you spent away.
I thought I'd be fine by now, I figured I would forget the pain.
I thought I'd be alright now, I know I treated it like a game.
I thought I'd be good by now, but whenever I hear the name,

Chorus:
It seems that there are so many memorable things that I
Will miss as long as I'm alive.

Verse 2:
I thought I'd be good by now, I can't remember how long it's been.
I thought I'd be fine by now, yeah, no wonder we're no longer friends.
I thought I'd be alright now, I know that someday it's got to end.
I thought I'd be good by now, but whenever I try again,

Chorus

Bridge:
Baby, really I tried to always need you,
Baby, really I tried to always need you in my life again.

Chorus

Another Pretty Face

Written By: Mark T. Rosellen

Verse 1:
I see a non-believer,
I feel that things are getting worse form here. I don't recognize this place.
Why can't you reconsider?
I am not the one at fault, but lo, I'm told, I got such a pretty face.
This is unfamiliar territory and so the story goes
For another pretty face.

Chorus:
You watch us go and though you know,
The consequences take their toll,
I can't let go, just so you know,
I still have not forgotten you.

Verse 2:
Before I knew what hit me,
I found both my hands locked down behind. Can I just explain my case?
Why can't you reconsider?
Do not be the one to justify the crime, on another pretty face.
This is unfamiliar territory and so the story goes
For another pretty face.

Chorus

Solo

Chorus

You watch us go and though you know,
The consequences take their toll.
I can't let it go,
I still have not forgotten you.
