Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Newark Native artist  Howard Wright III also known as “MuMitt” always wanted to do music, ever since he was a kid. He always recalls listening to Will Smith, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS One, and Michael Jackson thinking. So as a child to the culture, he felt that he could rhyme or beat box over their music. Growing up in the struggle pushed Mu-Mitt more towards music because it was a way of expression and by 11 years old he was trying to write rhymes to tell his story.

Mu-Mitt began taking his music career more serious in 2008 after giving nearly six years of his life to the justice system for breaking the law. When he was released from jail, Mu-Mitt decided to get himself together on a more positive note and work on making music. He dropped his first mixtape “Menace To The Industry” in 2008 and has since released four projects up to date.

He credits his most musical influence to 2Pac. Being that 2Pac also represented the struggle, on a more positive and conscious note. He claims, If he had to sum it up, he feels that he brings substance to the industry. There isn’t a lot of substance in music these days or people aren’t addressing the real issues. If it sounds hot, then that’s what it is, but Mu-Mitt feels that there needs to be more and he brings just that.

When people listen to his music they can expect to be taken on a journey through the mind of someone who lives in real time. The kind of music that picks your brain and heightens your senses. This has probably come from his extensive experience in music especially performing in shows. He has performed in dozens of shows. Mu-Mitt has opened for major acts such as Papoose, Cory Gunz, Joel Ortiz, and Uncle Murder to name a few.

Mu-Mitt proclaims that his goal is to be an influence to the masses, to let them know they can turn a negative situation into a positive one. He wants to inspire people to never give up.

“Just look at me and all I’ve been through and I never gave up because it’s never over until you decide it’s over.
