Mudflap Junkies

Mudflap Junkies

BandRockAmericana

If the Black Crowes and Drive-by Truckers could have a guitar-wielding, bass-riding baby, they would name it Mudflap Junkies. Hailing from central Louisiana, this is true southern rock.

Biography

If the Black Crowes and Drive-by Truckers could have a guitar-wielding, bass-riding baby, they would name it Mudflap Junkies. With three-fourths of the band originally hailing from central Louisiana, this dirty, southern rock group boasts the combined musical experience of around fifty years and, with every live performance, it shows. The gritty, hard-hitting sound of the Mudflap Junkies has an undeniable quality that can only be described as, “the music your daddy used to listen to.” With obvious influences like the Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, Drive-by Truckers, and all things southern, the Junkies seem to simply be a group of guys brought together by a love of rock and it shows in their songs.
