Bio

Steppin’ out of the dust of El Paso, Texas and right into your head is Mud of Man. The quartet features Ron Mud (vocals), Brian Mud (Drums), Ray Mud (Guitar), and Jake Mud (bass). Upon their initial formation Mud of Man quickly recorded a five track demo, which would serve as a preview of what was to come. After playing every venue in the area, Mud of Man managed to find themselves recording an album for Going South Records.

Mud of Man's debut Serpents of the Earth resurrects the sounds of 70’s hard rock. The clash of rock, psychedelic, and blues makes for a mind-bending trip back to the days of Cream, Sabbath, and Blue Cheer. The classic vibe is evident throughout, from the masterful production of Sonic Ranch Studios to the wah-wah guitar solos on tracks like the urgency filled “Candle Brain”. The heavy blues infused "So Weak So Fake," and featuring "Serpents of the Earth" where vocalist Ron Mud unleashes a Lane Staley-esque performance, declaring “save us all from the serpents of the earth”

Track by track Mud of Man's Serpents of the Earth brings back to life all that is right with rock and roll, from the dark haze that is brought upon by the rocking “Chemical” to the self-loathing trip of “Waste”. The band proves they have what it takes to hang with the classics while delivering a sound that is all their own.
