"Webster Theater Show"

"The Mugshot Militia sounded massive and received the best crowd response of the evening as a pit formed halfway through their set. They were comfortable and confident on the big stage." - Hartford Advocate, Sept 4, 2003

"Show Review 1"

"This was a real show, with heads banging and bodies being hurled across the floor, modern sound with an old school delivery... [Mugshot Militia] is as real as can be." - Wren, hyperblastmetal.com

"Show Review 2"

"Take five maniacs, add some instruments, throw in a wide range of influences and mix it with a healthy dose of talent, then turn 'em loose. The result is a heavy as f**k, no bullsh*t band that is not afraid to push the boundaries and challenge the limits of the heavy genre" - Mr. G-man

Bio

Built to last in 2001, Mugshot Militia is shoving its way to the front line with one goal in mind: to aggressively change the face of heavy music as you know it. Known for their unique fusion of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, they've been compared to bands such as Metallica, Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind, Korn, White Zombie, and more. This comes as no surprise or offense to the band; whose members have lived and breathed this music as a way of life for the last 20 years.

Having spent years honing their craft and drawing heavily on their surroundings, Mugshot Militia (MM) comes strong with their original style of raw, in-your-face aggression often referring to dysfunctional, suburban upbringings as a pilgrimage for their generation of 'teens & twenty-somethings'?. Music so relentless that Thomas Pizzola of the Hartford Advocate quotes "...as subtle as a brick, going through a pane of glass."

The year 2004 brought great advancement for the band in their alignment with longtime friend, DJ/Producer/Marketing mogul Tom Grin (Thrust Music) who helped the band find its way into larger studios and bigger contacts. Immediately the band cut its first major demo, working with platinum producer Jan Folkson of Sound on Sound (NYC). Having received immediate replies from several labels for more material, the band quickly cut a new demo at the Carriage House and mastered with Joe Yannece at the Legendary Hit Factory (NYC).

With 2005 off to a blazing start and a busy schedule of writing, recording and touring ahead of them, this is a working band in its purest form.

Be forewarned that an unstoppable virus-like machine has formed, an underground army is being built and it's coming your way soon. In a time when you can't trust others to protect you, the Mugshot Militia is gaining strength in numbers, and they won't stop for causalities along the way.
