Mullen - Live @ Sunset Sessions (2005)

After sitting in a Chicago airport lounge, sharing a drink and musical advice with Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Andrew Mullen knew that he had what it takes to be successful as a professional musician.

Mullen creates an eclectic fusion of Alternate Rock that incorporates raw acoustic undertones and driving beats. He is a songwriter, producer and a phenomenal guitarist.

"I aspire to use my versatility as a songwriter to inspire others, provoke thought, and connect with my audience. Music and writing are my passions - I play my instruments with the devotion they deserve and I create songs that cannot be ignored" says Mullen.

Mullen has matured from a talented guitarist in the small town of Yackandandah (Australia), to an internationally established and respected songwriter. He has been heard from warm lounges in London, to the VANS Warped tour rock festival in Australia, from impromptu performances in South East Asia and North America, to eccentric nightclubs in Poland.

Currently, Mullen is recording and producing his 3rd studio release album. The album is a collection of songs that define him as a musician. Mullen knows his songs will be heard on every radio station, TV show and Film across the world. “Hell, I would be honored if the ‘next big band’ approached me to write for them or use one of my songs!” Mullen adds.

Musically, Mullen draws his inspiration from leading songwriters such as Mark Knopfler, Jeff Martin, Bruce Cockburn and Maynard James Keehnan. As a songwriter, he works tirelessly to produce and promote the highest quality music.

"Now this is acoustic music with attitude, one of the most exciting, raw performers I have recorded" - Andy Sorenson, Producer, PopWorks

At 17 Mullen went on his first tour with Australia’s #1 Christian Singer and family friend, Steve Grace. His first solo performance supported the popular Australian performer, iOTA. His debut single “Sarcasm” established a cult following in the university circuit. He has had airtime on Australia’s national radio station (ABC), appeared in Sydney’s largest circulating music publication (The Drum Media) and was selected as a feature artist for the NOISE festival, 2003. Dubbed the “Hollywood Club”, his loyal fan base continues to demand Mullen’s music.

"Mullen’s songs are well constructed with the perfect lyrical and musical formula" – Stuart Stuart, Producer, Chartsong

So much talent, yet the best is still to come for Mullen. Keep your eyes and ears open. Mullen is gonna’ rock your socks off!
