It all began with a joke....
Berk Agar and Daniel Rosales, both Guitar Performance Majors (Music majors) at Texas A&M University first spoke about forming a band in the spring of 2009 while taking a geology course together at their university. One day while studying for an exam Berk busted out, lets form a Latin band...and call ourselves Los Borachos! Daniel laughed at this random outburst, but gave it serious thought at the same time. Berk and Daniel, both Classical/Spanish guitarists, had always had the urge to form a serious band that would have the potential to impact a vast number of people, including themselves. And so this idea stuck in their minds until finally they decided to take action on August of 2009. During this period a search began for a much needed percussionist. There was no problem in finding one since Daniel knew of a great noble and wise rhythm giver by the name of Carlos De Leon Jr. And thus the band was formed. The band slowly began to evolve from their original thought out name, Los Borachos, into a more proper way of expressing their sound; which focuses on a blend of world/Latin/lounge among other genres.
This was the birth of Mundo.
