Bio
Murder She Wrote is one of many bands formed through craigslist, although not in the most conventional of circumstance. After some awkward emails and the demise of an internet romance, a new romance blossomed in a basement bar in Boston, Massachusetts. Brubakers and Snuggies were all the social lubrication that these four handsome young men needed in order to become fast friends. Once they realized that they all played different instruments, they knew they were onto something good.
Hailing from New Jersey, Justin Valcarcel (guitar/vocals) and the lovely David Nifoussi (lead vocals) arrived in Boston to form a band with Justin. Both from Connecticut and meeting at art school in 2004, the rhythm section is comprised of heterosexual lifemates Nick Rachielles (bass/vocals) and Chris Wheaton (drums/vocals).
While each member brings their own individual style and influence to the band, the members of Murder She Wrote are creating a unique brand of what they like to call "post-pop punk"; in the wake of their favorite albums, such as, Fall Out Boy's "Take This To Your Grave" and Saves The Day's "Through Being Cool". Though not limiting their influences; other bands like Millencolin, The Police, MC5, The Jam, Squeeze, New Found Glory, The Bronx, Motorhead, Minus The Bear, Queen, and Ultimate Fakebook all play a big roll in the way they create their sound.
