Murgatroyd

Scott Paris is a 30 year old composer/singer/songwriter from Ohio. He's been on several labels with and with out bands, has composed musical scores for a few movies, and has even been featured in a few jingles and commercial voice-overs. Scott's released four albums under his own name and won several songwriting competitions, including one last year where he had to write an original song with a stranger in one hour. What makes Murgatroyd special is that while it's Scott in his truest form, alone with a guitar, it's also a far cry from the super produced Rock and commercial music that his sir name is attatched to.

The Murgatroyd sound was influenced by the likes of: John Frusciante, Beck, Violent Femmes; and more recently: Bon Iver and Swell Season. And like some of these groups Scott plays year round, usually four shows a week.

Definately not a stranger to travel, Scott has his equipment and touring arrangements to a science. He can set his show up in 10 minutes, play for six hours (if need be) and be gone in a flash. Aside from just his own music, Scott knows hours of Alternative/Pop covers from the 80's and 90's. Before hitting the road, he was the house act at many bars, resturaunts, and wineries in North East Ohio.
