Bio

Sometimes we forget what exactly music does for us. Usually, it's just background noise, but something that exists in every facet of life - commercials, movies, driving in our cars, clubs, dances - the list goes on, but we all know music is a powerful, emotional force that we experience every minute of every day.

Murphee Doyle is a notion that plays that philosphy like a fiddle - almost, literally. There is no current fiddle player, but there is some rock essentials: powerful drums, punchy basslines, thick guitars, singing keys and meaningful vocals. At a young age, M. Doyle figured out that music was going to be his ultimate hobby. Starting out as a saxophone player and working up through the ranks of many concert and jazz bands, he found music to be what makes him tick. Around the age of 14, he graduated into another wing of the massive world of music and pursued rock music. Forming several bands over the years as a drummer, guitar player or frontman, the culmination of his hard work lies here...with Murphee Doyle.

M. Doyle has played stages all around the mid-atlantic region, namely the Baby Grand Theatre in Wilmington, DE, The Trocadero and most recently, Both The World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE. He has also played shows in Florida and Hollywood, CA (Viper Room, Cat Club). Recently, he has decided to go on a recording blitz, recording 15 songs over the last 7 months with producer/engineer, Kevin Wesley Williams. Nine songs were recorded at the Soundmine in the Poconos in December 2011 and six were done in June 2011 at the Tracking Room in Nashville, TN. The release of the debut album, "Anchor & Chain" is set for Spring 2012, but a current EP is now available, titled "Three-seventeen."

For someone who takes music so seriously, yet has so much fun doing it, Murphee Doyle is sure to impress banshees all around the world with songs that mean something, are sang and played from the heart and are just fun to listen to. That is what making music is all about.
