Musaic

Cincinnati's Musaic is a collection of musical talents with one universal purpose: to inspire and push live music to unknown boundaries. We are experienced musicians in funk, R&B, rock, blues, hip-hop and spoken word that have fused our musical abilities to create an energetic, eclectic and colorful blend of music deeper than soul.

My name is Chanda Yamoah and I am the bandleader for Musaic. Musaic is a multiracial band consisting of women and men from different age groups and backgrounds who perform live r&b, rock and spoken word through-out the tri-state (Cincinnati, OH). We have successfully worked with the Fine Arts Fund, Macy's and several other local establishments. We have 8 members in the group which consist of 2 singers (Male & Female), bass(M), guitar (M), poet (M), drums (M), percussionist (F), keyboardist (F). We are able to play (3) one hour sets that would consist of rock, r&b and spoken word depending on your requirements.

We all have played in the Cincy scene with multiple bands and decided to form our own group to bring a new consciousness and sound to R&B music. Our goal is to be the best unpredictable live R&B band in the Nati. We will not perform the 60’s 70’s or 80’s R&B music unless we can incorporate our own groove and individual styles. We are 99% current R&B and hip-hop and adding original tunes to our line up as much as possible.

Although our influences includes the biggest names in music such as Hendrix, Aretha, Miles Davis, Patrice Rushen, Prince and Santana, our collective goal is to produce a unique blend that the average listener can identify as ‘Musaic’.

Musaic, always new, always fresh, invites listeners to enjoy familiar, new, obscure and original music that will keep your feet dancing and hands clapping until the last note has faded in your ear.
