"As Musashi Xero, Tyler Jackson Raps His Grief, Anger Over Friend's Death By Overdose"

This time a year ago, Jackson was grieving over a close friend who died a few months earlier from a fentanyl overdose. They were only two days apart in age, and Jackson, now 29, considered his friend a brother. The song “No Entry No Escape” speaks directly to his loss and grief. - Blue Ridge Public Radio (NPR)

Still working on that hot first release.

Japanese American Rap artist Musashi Xero delivers a poetic catharsis over a versatile array of instrumentals from some of the South East’s finest producers.

Xero is best known for his unique delivery and tone. He growls, sneers, and shouts his way through songs while employing a seemingly endless arsenal of flows. Currently performing his new EP 'Self Hate as a Viable Currency'. Musashi Xero unapologetically speaks to his perspective and details his vision touching on anxiety, depression, and finding strength in the struggle. Xero's narrative can be often summed up in this. "The tenacity of malevolence with the persistence of a benevolent nature. A truly indivudal Rapper and performer wielding his own sound honest to his own world view.

Shows he has recently thrown or performed on include Kooley High (Sept 21st / 2019, Sly Grog Lounge, Asheville NC) Hopscotch Festival Afterparty w/ Nick Sanborn (Sylvan Esso), Oak City Slums, and others.
