"Jammin' Kay Cammon, Hostess "ShowBuzzz" television show"

"Veteran lead guitarist Kevin Paul gives you the perpetual feeling that something wonderful is about to happen. That, at any moment, he might actually take flight. He successfully combines melodic improvisation with raw in-your-face power riffing. Kevin is a primordial soup of technical experience, undeniable talent and blissful creativity.” - Comcast

"Thomas Gosciniak"

“Kevin ‘Stik’ Paul, a Chicago guitar wizard blends sophisticated electronic sound effects into original groovy blues creating a very special modern yet timeless way of presenting that music. Along with the funky rocking 11 songs, BLUCIFER is an outstanding piece of art, a gem for aficionados of the blues guitar. Beyond the beauty of its skillful performance it offers a key to understand a new aspect of the crossroad legend, a different comprehension of Dr. Faustus´ pact with the dark forces.”

"Jonathan Sanders"

"I think I've found heaven. No seriously, this is some of the best instrumental music I've heard in a long time, and I listen to a lot of this kind of stuff. It's got all the aspects that make a great instrumental, and Kevin ‘Stik’ Paul uses all of them to his complete advantage. If you love instrumental guitar that has groove, you'll love ‘Ixtapa.’ You'll never look at instrumental rock the same way again.” - Gods of Music

"THE MEETINGHOUSE COMPANIES, INC."

"I just wanted to drop you a little note and let you know that I have heard nothing but rave reviews about 1969! Silver Cross has been doing this event for 30 years, and they said that this was the best weekend they ever had. 1969 was a huge part of this success so thank you once again. The guests that were dancing on the stage were actually members of the executive board, so that is extra kudos to you. I have also heard specific compliments on the female vocalist and her talent and energy".

"Roundhouse"

"Yep, we were at your show, and the comedy show that preceded it. I went there with a friend from Arlington Heights and another from Aurora, and we all had a blast! Your band is tight (tight in both the 60's sense, as well as in modern day terminology). My friend from Aurora is a bass player, and of course I'm a keyboardist. We were both impressed by your band's versatility in vocalists, as well as the technical chops of the lead guitarist and of yours as the keyboardist. And of course the whole shtick you guys have got going with the 60's theme made the whole evening a lot of fun and so nostalgic. I'll keep my eyes on your band's schedule, because I would definitely love to see you guys again. And I've told all of my friends in Chicago to go see you guys and guaranteed that they would not be disappointed. In the meantime, should you or your band come out my way to St. Louis, by all means email me to let me know."

"Iron Horse"

"Dear 69 band,
My husband & I saw you at The Iron Horse Social Club in Savannah, Ill. in the summer of 2007. You guys rocked! I was up singing and playing the tamborine with the lead female singer and it was one of the most memorable music experiences of my life! We were so hoping that you would be back there this past summer but we never did run into you. I would love to see your performance again and hope that your still playing and would like to know a schedule of your upcoming events. HAPPY NEW YEAR & I'll look forward to hearing from you."

"Bolingbrook"

Dear 1969,
"I attended your show in Bolingbrook on Wed. July 1, and thought the band was awesome! The late '60's is my favorite musical era, and a lot of the songs sounded better than the originals! Stik is an amazing guitarist, couldn't take my eyes off him! I hope to catch you again the next time I'm in the Chicago area! I wish we could bring 1969 to Cumberland! You would blow everyone away. I promise this town has never seen a show the caliber of the one I saw July 1st! I'm so glad I was in the area and came down to see you."
Thanks and take care, Vickie - 1969
