Biography

Music was a seed planted early in the young life of Chicago's rising star, Kelsey. Kelsey's musical drive was fueled by her father, who would break out the guitar all the time and tell her to make up lyrics of her own; creating the foundation of a strong passion in music.

“Rock, pop, and soul is how Kelsey describes her musical style . “I started off with more rock and now I feel like I'm evolving more into pop/soul. Though you can still hear a lot of that harder influence in my writing and vocal style. I'm evolving my sound every day. I really don't know where I will go or how I will evolve over time.” . Kelsey's musical influences include the genres of Blues, Bluegrass and Jazz, which all have a vibrant presence in her current works .

Playing in famous venues from House of Blues to Metro, Kelsey is dabbling in all aspects of the music industry; she got accepted to be on NBC's “The Voice”, and also made it to Hollywood week on American Idol 2012 making it to the top 100. Currently, Kelsey is working with production team Force One Seven on her new EP set to release in mid October. Refreshing, innovative and grounded, Kelsey plans to show the world that true artistry is still alive
