Bio
Lyriq discovered her love for music and songwriting at the tender age of 12. She aspires to find her place among the great singer/songwriters of her time. She is strongly influenced by the sounds of Gospel, Jazz, Soul, RnB, and Indie Rock. Being able to play piano and guitar by ear, and harmonize vocally are just bonuses but writing is her strong point. Hence, she has often been called… "The Lady of Lyrics". Lyriq has preformed, written, arranged, and collaborated with various local artists around the G.T.A at local talent shows, churches, recitals, cultural events, and social functions, etc. Her music has something for everyone. The feel good vibes and intensity in which she delivers her music is something to experience. When asked what music means to her, Lyriq had this to say.... "Music is an avenue for change, hope, faith and dreams. Music heals. I want to be a part of that"-musicbylyriq©. With her debut album set to release in 2011, and a new project already in the works, Lyriq is well on her way to making that personal goal become reality!
