Standing 6’4”, weighing in at 350 pounds and wearing size 18 shoes, TWANK has been dubbed the “new upcoming king of rap”.
This ingenious, innovative young rap star from Houston, Texas began his career at the early age of thirteen where he titled himself “Big Twankie”.
In the beginning, TWANK had his heart set on earning an scholarship in football so he could attend college and pursue his dream of becoming an NFL football player.
However, due to the football politics practiced, TWANK decided to pour his energy, knowledge and strength into his lyrics and music.
In the spring of 2003, TWANK’s hard work paid off. His first breakthrough into the Hip-Hop music scene came when he engaged head on in a free style contest held during the “Kappa Beach Party” in Galveston, Texas.
When several record label executives heard TWANK’s impressive word play, they gave TWANK their business cards to have his manager contact them. TWANK later signed to Houston-based Record Label -Music District. On August 2, 2005; TWANK released his debut album “TWANK Is Coming!
TWANK aka TWANKSTA, has performed at venues throughout Texas and Louisiana. He has shared the stage with The Ying Yang Twins, Young Bloodz, 112, Scarface, Juvenile, Lil Flip and Slim Thug to name a few.
TWANK’s stature in itself commands your attention when he enters a room. When he gets on stage, TWANK sets the stage on fire with style and energy.
TWANK’s music genre is so diverse many find it difficult to label. One thing for sure; no matter how anyone classifies this new artist everyone agrees he is sure to satisfy any crowd!
