Musicians on Fire, Philippines
The group, MOF/Musicians On Fire, Philippines started the year 2003. Lead by Franklin Benitez, who was recently ordained as pastor at Christ the Living God Fellowship.
MOF started with a talk between musicians and how they wanted to reach out and spread the word of God. These passionate artists have a yearning of changing the Philippines' music lifestyle and have a pact to uplift the name of Jesus Christ. After few years, it sprouted to success. MOF has now reached North and South Luzon, Visayas Region, Singapore and Las Vegas.
Each member has a unique, moving story. Some completely changed from alcoholic, drug addict to a clean living. A big change doesn't mean they've turned themselves from ragged to corporate, from dreads to clean cut... they are still musicians, only a big part of them changed - their hearts.
This year 2010, MOF released their first album 'Musicians On Fire', an independent distribution. With a special participation of MOF Las Vegas' artists, particularly Ritchie LaPaz who contributed the songs 'Only You' and 'Another Chance'. And also, huge applause to Barbie Almalbis to her great contribution, 'Perfect Love'.
The album has a variety of genre from slow to upbeat. A group of fans were grinning with gratitude when they heard the songs, 'Your Love' of EJ Cabigting and 'Walang Pipigil' of Arnold Pacis. And some were rocking their heads off with 'Isigaw mo na' and 'I'm on Fire'. The album is just amazing.
And most importantly, MOF is doing these things for just one purpose - to exalt JESUS and spread His love through music.
