Bio

After its initial creating in late 2005, Mutant was forced to take a year and a half out when drummer and brother Josh was diagnosed with Cancer. After his successful battle and recovery from lymphoma, the band quickly struck back onto the UK live circuit and it wasn't long before they were spotted by Label Owner Digby Pearson, who recorded their song 'Psycho Surgery' and featured it on his 'Thrashing Like A Maniac' compilation CD, which was released worldwide. Psycho Surgery proved to be the most popular track on the itunes release of Thrashing Like a Maniac.

By 2009, Mutant had toured the UK with Evile and Trigger the Bloodshed, selling out all 300 copies of their debut EP "Laserdrome" Produced by Scott Atkins (Behemoth, Sylosis, Gama Bomb, Cradle Of Filth) within the first 10 days of the tour.

Relying on their impeccable live reputation and word of mouth alone, Mutant have shared Stages with Destruction, Municipal Waste, Send More Paramedics, Onslaught, Evile, Gama Bomb, Sepultura, Saxon, Sylosis and Opeth and continue to tour extensively laying waste to clubs and venues around Europe.

Don't take our word for it though, here's some examples of what the Press are saying:

"the next most-talked-about-band ever"

Louise Brown, Editor - Terrorizer Magazine 2009

"How this lot aren't signed yet is anyones guess, as on tonight's showing, it won't be long before they're one of the hottest properties in thrash"

Metal Hammer Magazine - 2009 - 9/10

"Full of humor and fronted by Tom Luchtenstein, a man who talks like he sings, they combine deft soloing with lumpen power and some throat-catching, punched out hooks"

Kerrang! Magazine - 2009 - 4/5
