As a follow up thank you The Toad Tavern is holding a FREE EVENT TONIGHT March 5th 2009 with FightWithFood.ORG partner bands Quicksand Profits, FULCRUM, and Dyslexic Dinosaurs. The Quicksand Profits are quickly coming up in the Denver music scene (www.quicksandprofits.com <http://www.quicksandprofits.com> ). You may remember FULCRUM from the Hometown for the Holidays contest. FULCRUM is sustaining as one of the best Denver bands this year! Dyslexic Dinosaurs [now Mute Man’s Microphone] has exploded on to the Denver music scene this last year, constantly evolving in to no doubtable one of the best breakout bands this year. MyGodCanBeatUpYourGod ; Denver locals, is a dynamic power trio with an infinite list of visiting musicians. At their core, they bask in the roots of reggae music, jazz, the blues, classic and punk rock, all meshing with a heavily hip-hop influenced vocal styling.
MyGod performs primarily original tunes with maybe one or two tasteful covers thrown in for fun. They are largely improvisational, both instrumentally and lyrically, therefore no two shows are ever the same. The trio consists of the nefarious Link on six-string and oration, the always amiable Dr. Greg on the lows and "that Guy" Ben banging the drum kit.
If you wish to see the spectacle that is MyGod, follow the flock to Bases Loaded tonight [June 19th] or tomorrow [June 20th] (or better yet, both) @ 8 p.m. You won’t be disappointed. While you’re there you can also enjoy the music of Wheelchair Sports Camp and Red Apple Highway.

‘Mute Man’s Microphone’ is not a band, it's a family. Our boundaries and borders extend well beyond anything physical. Our goal is to transcend space and time and eventually have our music broadcast to the planets that inhabit Alpha Centauri or some other such distant galaxy. We would like to play for the Emperors of Ancient Rome as well as the future NeoRepublicrat Overlords who will one day make Big Brother look like a progressive, benevolent democratically-elected president. We want to jam for Atlantis. We want to play on the Space Station. In the Biosphere. We want to blaze into the Sun.
