Bio
Based in Melbourne, Mute Noise is an alternative project building a unique bridge between electronic and acoustic music. Founded by French-Canadian frontman Marc-Andre Lafleur.
The love for deep electronic basses and the passion for heartfelt lyrics found in acoustic ballads evolved into the unique sound of Mute Noise,
which strives to mix the best of both worlds; adding meaningful lyrics and an organic human touch to the otherwise robotic electronic music scene,
and adding the infinite possibilities of electronic sounds to acoustic music, which otherwise often lacks personality and grit.
MUSIC FEATURED IN:
- E Channel's world famous reality TV Show 'Kourtney and Khloe take Miami' (the Kardashians)
- Bombay Gin's nationwide advertising campaign (U.S.A.)
- 'Detention Vacation' feature film, directed by Robert Randall (assistant director of Scary Movie 3)
- Multiple features and awards from online radios and music communities like SongShooter.com, GRM 780 radio, Rukus radio
- Digit magazine India
INFLUENCES:
Mute Noise takes its influences from the late 90s/early 2000s music scene: bands like The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, System of a Down
and Jack Johnson, but also have been influenced like most of us by classics like The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Bob Marley.
Traditional middle eastern music and legends like Ravi Shankar also forged Mute Noise's musical path.
