Winter 2011 - MX Missile: Mx Missile

Hear tracks from this album on our Sonic Bids profile. MX Missile wrote, recorded and produced this album. We believe this is a sonically epic effort with truly original songs and themes.

Each song has a different mix of genres and themes. Tracks include studio recordings of:

That's Not What I Heard (break beak/fusion)
CAFA (rock/tech house)
Run Loke Run (metal/house)
I Forget (prog trance/psy trance/metal)
Rice Rocket (japaneese/chinese epic tech trance)
Pig Roast (americana/house)
Zulu (west african/house)

the album was mixed by Robeter Productions. Some of Robeter's credits include remixing and production work for names like Tiesto & Danny Tenaglia, Paul Oakendfold and many more.

Guest players include vocals by Amber Boucher (Urban Divide), African percussion by Brent Van Dusen, Country guitar by Morgan Turk, and violin by Heidi Pittman

MX missile has been performing progressive instrumental dance music across Canada, and local Calgary venues since mid 2006. MX Missile’s songs are all written, recorded and produced by the band. With very diverse influences, dance fusion and world beat is probably the best way to describe our choice of genres.

Current Activities: Debut Album
As of early 2010, the band has completed recording their debut album and they expect to release it in the spring of 2011. The album is an eclectic mix of traditional instrumental genres mixed with electronic influences.

After a short hiatus from gigging to focus on completing the album, and writing for the second album, MX Missile is looking forward to performing in 2011.

Second Album:
Writing and recording of MX Missile’s second album is well under way. Our second album will be much more vocal oriented with most tracks involving collaborations with vocalists and musicians.
