With a lot of buzz already surrounding them, it’s not hard to see why when listening to A Spark, A Fire. Not only does it all sound very professional, the songs are just as catchy and fun as some of the bands leading this genre currently. You could compare My Aim Is True to the likes of All Time Low, Fireworks, or The Maine, and like these bands, My Aim Is True has the ability to mix punk, rock, and alternative in an enjoyable package. This five track EP brings to mind the early days of Count Your Blessings, so Maryland fans should definitely take a look at these guys. A Spark, A Fire is energetic punk/rock entertainment. It may not be the best out there, but it is certainly way ahead of the unsigned competition. My Aim Is True will find a label soon enough. Let’s just hope they don’t follow CYB to Standby. "Shotgun" - Love the intro, great energy. Clever title and use of herein. The forward momentum of the music supports the theme ideally - good melodic hooks as well, much as with the first track!

Bursting right out of the crowd and tackling new audiences head on, My Aim Is True demands to be noticed. With such infectious songs it’s near impossible to not. After making their debut on Vans Warped Tour 2009, ex-members of the Augusta, GA based band Say Vandelay, My Aim Is True comes at you with all new gang-vocal-filled pop-punk tracks which were recorded and produced by Sid Menon (Yearling, Love And Reverie, En Serenade, and The Status). Winning over listeners with their high energy, professional performances and commercial and college radio station airplay internationally, the band is on the cusp of breaking out in 2010. They released their EP, “A Spark, A Fire,” on May 25th.
