My Best Fiend

MY BEST FIEND lead singer SEAN GILL is pretty clear when describing MBFs infectious style of music. Basically, we try to write really catchy songs with clever lyrics and big hooks; our main goal is to appeal to the largest audience possible. Though music critics have described them as POP ROCK CANDY and POWER POP WITH A BRAIN, songs such as Halflife and Love Intervention tell the story of a band that cares first and foremost about the art and craft of songwriting. Guitarist TOMMY KESSLER describes the process, When Sean and I sit down to write a tune, we always ask each other wheres the hook? first - because if theres nothing to sing along with, whats the point?

Rewind to the winter of 2006

CBGBS. NYC. TOMMY came from OHIO, SEAN came from MIDTOWN. 11:36 pm. THEY MEET. 10 beers and 4 Socos later
MY BEST FIEND is born.

Not long after, TOMMY brings In CHARLIE Z, the young, but road-hardened warrior recruited to beat the snot out of the drums. Sprinkle in a dash of NATE on Bass (for good looks and spell-check) and the recipe for a hit band is complete.

Fast forward to present day.

With the buzz on MBF at a height in NYC right now, an upcoming tour, and a growing fan base to show for it, where does MBF see themselves in the next few years? In the end Sean concludes When someone, somewhere hears the radio playing and says Theres that damn MBF song again, I liked it the first 1,000 times I heard it, but now Im sick of it!! Thats the day when well really feel successful!!
