Bio

Jesse majored in music theory and composition back in his college days. He came to the big city to find musicians.

Blake studied sound engineering and recording. He came to the city to find life.

They found each other.

They soon found Carley, a cellist, singer, and artist who won't stop smiling.

They all found Chris, who's mean with the sticks.

They started playing together, all with the goal of creating energy on stage.

While Jesse comes in with some ideas about avant garde harmonies and deep composition (from his college days studying Beethoven, Berlioz, Schoenberg, Lennon, and McCartney), Blake comes with an appreciation of the electronic as well as a groove-worthy feel on bass. Carley then adds a bit of tenor bump with her sweet cello moves as well as a sweet soprano voice. Finally, Chris makes it all rock, hard.

On stage, they move from bumpable fun (with a tune like "Steven") to quiet introspection ("Evaporate") to rockin cacophony ("Tearing Our Hair Out") and finally to epic suspense and closure ("The Apple, It Fell"). All the while, Blake is intense and passionate whereas Carley just absolutely cannot stop smiling.

Covering whole maps full of musical and emotional territory in a show, my boy makes it work, using their well-honed instrumental dexterity and strong, competent voices to get the audience moving and marveling.

Come see it for yourself!
