Biography

Hailing from Bellingham, Washington, My Dad Bruce has been able to create a style of hip hop all their own. The band’s award-winning live performance has opened for many national acts including, The Coup, Hieroglyphics, Camp Lo and others.

My Dad Bruce’s self-titled debut album is a wall-to-wall behemoth of a first effort. Hip hop, rock, and electronic music has been chopped and tossed into a crock-pot and stewed on high to create a healthy mixture of addictive sounds salivating the ears of each genres’ fan base.
At the core of My Dad Bruce is a trio of musicians cherry-picked from the regions most promising hip hop acts. Born out of their love for hip hop and mutual respect, Chris Willis, Julian Friedman and Devin Kain decided to combine forces to see what they could cook up. After creating the heart of the album, the core members sought help from local talent, Michael Harris (previous singer of Idiot Pilot), Ian Hulford, Matt Hunter and Ryan Wapnowski to add a new dynamic to their live sound
