Founded in February 2012, My Favorite Author is a rock duo from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, featuring singer/songwriter Daniel Malionay and drummer Lee Ferguson. Drawing influence from early 90's grunge bands, as well as some jazz artists, the band has developed its own new wave of punk rock merged with jazz overtones. The band combines the agression of artists like Nirvana and Against Me! together with the intricacies of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. The band has just recently finished recording their debut album "Your Majesty", set to be released this Fall of 2013.
