My Freudian Slip

My Freudian Slip hit the scene hard in August 2006 with no bassist or lead vocals. Driven by Jason “Perf” Jojolla at drums, Seth “Tylan” Tidwell and Toby “TJ” Herrera on guitars MFS Gigged Albuquerque’s local rock venues consistently, convinced that their sound was unlike most and neck jerking enough to raise eyebrows. “We wanted to remain Patient and not force things” says Herrera “this band has come together by sheer fate and will continue to do so, things will fall into place when the time is right.” Playing shows in the greater Albuquerque area for 5 months instrumentally while constantly auditioning Bassists and Singers. At last MFS found their lead singer Ruben Garcia walking through the parking lot of one of Albuquerque’s local shopping malls. Not familiar with Garcia’s Impressive resume as a guitarist Garcia expressed his passion for singing. “It just felt right” says Jojolla.
As fate willed it MFS began finalizing a sound driven by battling guitar riffs, melodic rhythm and drumming plus newly added vocals pronounced with conviction, passion and lyrical substance. Rehearsing 20-25 hours per week MFS is added its final touches to a diverse setlist striving to be perfect in an industry known for its inconsistency.
MFS is currently in the studio Self-Producing their EP, six tracks that define the live sound that you hear today. Aspiring to hit the road on their first tour in late August 2008.
