MY GENERATION was born from a desire to see the music, energy, and mayhem of The Who reborn, by members who have been truly passionate about The Who since childhood. With so many genres of music and so many acts influenced directly by The Who's genius, MY GENERATION set out to show contemporary audiences what most have missed out on - raw energy, masterful songs, great humor, fine musicianship, and a live stage show that grabs hold and doesn't let go. The arrangements used by MY GENERATION are based on The Who's concert performances, which often contained far more musical fluidity and innovation than the original studio recordings.
With many tribute bands and cover bands already attempting this, MY GENERATION set a higher standard for themselves and sought approval from the surviving members of The Who themselves, and have received blessings from both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend in the process. Two members of MY GENERATION participated in QUAD, a recent theatrical production of The Who's Quadrophenia, which brought them in direct contact with Daltrey and Townshend and brought their passion for their music to their attention.
With MY GENERATION, you truly feel as if you're in a stadium experiencing The Who in concert in their heyday. You won't be disappointed.
