My Glorious Mess

My Glorious Mess

New York City, New York, USA
BandAlternativePop

Brooklyn based electro-pop band specializing in making hearts and heads happy.

Biography

Not just another Brooklyn band with an impossibly cool name, co-writing partners in crime, Joseph Blaise, Ambyr D’Amato and Paul Vazquez are coming together and breaking through the noise with a sunny new brand of electro pop/rock you will not soon forget.

The band has tapped into a catchy, upbeat sound that fuses together their collective histories of (serious) classical music, classic rock 'n' roll, and chamber-style pop with modern pianos, big guitars and an electronic beat-driven twist.

Fully embracing the DIY spirit, writing and recording at every available moment, My Glorious Mess has a host of new recorded releases planned for 2011. As they do so, their knack for launching their songs into the collective pleasure center of their fans continues to grow.

Lyrics

Open Road

Written By: My Glorious Mess

She wants to go now
Wants to talk to you alone
You know what that means
Another quiet ride home
You wanna ask her,
Baby what’s your story
But you already know by now
She’s gonna break it down

Walking sidewalks
With your head up to the sky
Many questions
No I can’t help wonder why
I never told her
Trust alone can kill ya
Too late for that now
Oh it’s do or die

Driving down the open road
Nothing left, nothing owed
Living for the endless sky
All your worries pass you by

It’s one of those days
Probably shoulda stayed in bed
Stuck in traffic
Can’t get out of my head
I wanna call her

Flying down the open road
Nothing left and nothing owed
Living for the endless sky
All your worries pass you by

Driving down the open road
Nothing left and nothing owed
Living for the endless sky

Flying down the open road
Nothing left and nothing owed
Living for the endless sky
All your worries pass you by
