"Women Who Rock Magazine-2004"

"The Women Who Rock concert series in New York City featured some mighty fine chick power. Myim Rose rocked the house with vocal strains reminiscent of Janis Joplin." - Women Who Rock Magazine

"Paul Brown--exec. producer NPR Radio Washington D.C."

"Unbelievable depth and power for an artist at the start of her career." - Paul Brown (Executive Producer) National Public Radio

"The Village Voice"

"At the Izzy Bar not long ago, this beautiful busty local chantoozy did an amazing job belting out spine tingling-lost-somewhere-between super hard-and-soft-but-too-damn-fun-to-be-folkie-blooz-mama stuff; her renditon of AC/DC's Back In Black(the only cover)blew the roof off the joint and ably supplemented many a beer! Imagine a hybrid cross of early Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, and Zeppelin--with all the power and sexuality of a female Robert Plant--and she didn't even have her usual Rhodes and Hammond player with her." - Chuck Eddy--music editor The Village Voice

"Spin Magazine--Charles Aaron"

"..A Wailing Diva..." - Charles Aaron--SPIN Magazine

Bio

A native of New York City, Myim Rose sang lead vocals on superstar MOBY's biggest selling single of all time "Feeling So Real". Ms.Rose was reviewed as a "wailing diva" by SPIN Magazine for her work with Moby. Myim Rose has been New York's "The Village Voice" Choice Pick of the Week, twice, along with Sheryl Crow. The Voice referred to Ms. Rose as having..."all the power and sexuality of a female Robert Plant"(see press/review page).
Myim writes/arranges all music/lyrics, plays piano and fronts her own rock/pop band simply called Myim Rose. The sound is a unique blend of music producing a very funky rock/pop style with a heavy edge.
Myim has played legendary New York rock clubs Wetlands and The Mercury Lounge as well as countless others including Arlene Grocery, Izzy Bar and The Cutting Room. Last year Ms. Rose wrote the title track to an upcoming feature film called "Neurotica" starring Amy Sedaris.
This band also provides an acoustic set if required.
