Myko Slim

Myko Slim was born into the world as Alvin Demetri Sharpe. Born in Atlanta, GA at Grady Memorial hospital the young crooner received his first voice lesson as he came into the world screaming and crying at the top of his lungs. Every since than it was imbedded in him to be on a stage and sing to the world. As Myko states, I grew up listening to groups such as the Temptations, Delfonics, Chilites, and the legendary Donnie Hathaway, but in Myko’s case he gathered his inspiration from watching his father sing to the church masses and seeing the response he got from the Crowd, which was often the Holy Spirit. As many artists first stage was in the church pews singing the lords message, he also started singing in church where he later discovered he had a gift to write. Once he learned he had that gift; paper, pens, and No. 2 pencils started disappearing whenever he came around. He states his inspiration to write comes from daily prayer and living. Talking to Myko, I gather the feeling writing is a form of freedom that gets him through the melodies and beats of everyday life. On a further note Myko says, His future goals in this business are to become the next Babyface and Usher combined. He says, He would mode himself after Babyface for his longevity and songwriting ability; and Usher for his ability to entertain. With his well-rounded vocal range and pure skill, I am sure he will be another successful super star artist that comes from the long list of Atlanta’s infectious entertainment breeding ground. Until then, Myko continues to work hard and spend long ours in the studio singing, writing, crafting, and polishing his skills to land the ultimate record deal. With opening performances with Bobby Valentino, Trey Songz and Floetry under his belt to name a few Myko has proven that he's ready to step into his role as the next R&B singing sensation.
